Why We Built This Site
Finding a Colfax court docket can be confusing because the right destination depends on the court that has the case. The Eighth Judicial District Court Clerk, also called the Colfax County District Court Clerk, is the practical custodian for district-court case files and registers of actions. That office is separate from the Colfax County Clerk, which handles county administrative, land, and election records rather than state judicial dockets.
For a public statewide starting point, New Mexico Case Lookup can locate available district and magistrate case information by case number or a narrowed name search. The official Colfax County District Court docket page is a local court landing page, not a continuously searchable docket table. This site explains that difference and directs readers to the clerk, the appropriate court, or the official search service when online information is incomplete.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not a New Mexico court, clerk's office, or government agency. We cannot provide official case services or make decisions for a court.
- We cannot obtain an official docket, register of actions, or case file for a visitor
- We cannot change, reset, or schedule a court date or hearing
- We cannot remove, seal, amend, or otherwise alter a court record
- We cannot issue certified copies of a docket, order, or filed document
- We cannot give legal advice or interpret how a particular case affects a person
- We cannot guarantee that a court's phone number, fee, calendar, or online display has not changed
Only the court that holds the matter and its clerk can provide an official or certified copy. Court records may also be limited by sealing orders, protected-identifier rules, or other New Mexico access restrictions.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes supplied by third-party providers. Those providers operate their own services and set their own prices. A paid signup that begins through one of those tools may result in a referral fee for this site, which helps support the resource. We do not control a provider's charges or its search results.
